Chamber at the White House
On Wednesday, November 2, at 2:15pm, the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s President & CEO, James E. Rooney, is invited to a meeting at the White House with President Biden on workforce and talent policy. As a result of the Chamber’s role launching the Massachusetts Apprentice Network and other critical workforce development initiatives, Mr. Rooney will represent the Greater Boston business community to discuss the future of Massachusetts and the nation’s workforce and businesses.
“Attending the White House meeting dedicated to talent and skills is an opportunity to highlight the initiatives and success of the Greater Boston business community – the workforce, employers, and training providers – as we strategize together to build a resilient and equitable future. As the Biden Administration has noted, apprenticeships in the trades can be transformative for individuals, families and businesses. Other professions, like technology, engineering and project management, can look at the apprenticeship model to further develop employees, especially diverse and underrepresented workers. The Chamber and our member companies are investing in the Massachusetts Apprentice Network as a solution to workforce challenges, further investing in our pipeline, current workers, and the future of the region,” said James E. Rooney, President & CEO, Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
